Sometimes I hate planning things.
It's rainy and cool today--the clouds are low and beautiful, and the sky is close to the earth, making everything slightly dark and mysterious. Rumor has it there's snow at higher elevations. All I really want to do is curl up in my new comforter (unimaginably fluffy and warm) and read a book and be grumpy, but instead I need to shop for Thanksgiving food that I will somehow bring with me on a plane to San Francisco. Somehow. I'm sure things will be better once I get there and see my family that I haven't seen in 11 months and see my friends that I haven't seen in some-odd months. I just don't like organizing large groups of people and worrying about whether or not they'll all get along and whether or not there will be food that everybody likes and whether or not everybody will be happy.
If all else fails, I think we'll just eat omelets and mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce and then curl up in the fetal position and be thankful for oxygen and term limits for all sorts of terms.
I hate planning things.
