My lymph nodes got big last night, so when S came to sleep, I recommended he stay away, and he did. I'm not horribly sick (yet) this morning, but canceled everything and am staying home, doing the various prophylactic activities that are probably too late by now. This is definitely not fall allergies. A friend posted a link to this article this morning, about another round of free COVID tests from the US government:

Unfortunately, once again a number of these society-wide things are happening a little too late.
Our college had an inauguration for our new President yesterday, and I observed several colleagues who are more prudent than me had masked up.
My understanding is also that wastewater detection of COVID has increased over the past couple weeks, although it might actually be starting to subside now.
The most frustrating part of this is that S and I had been planning on a kayaking expedition for Saturday, and I'd really been looking forward to it, after so much time spent on work and rowing activities.
