"What's He Building In There?"

I've had a front-row seat to some construction happening next door:



The other day, I thought I noticed something strange in the Secret Garden. I guess the Secret Garden is no longer so secret anymore:

Whoever installed this unit trampled the rhubarb plants. Hopefully they will revive themselves.



An interesting decision, to turn this garage into some sort of studio apartment, or something.

Tea cake [food, cats]

On Monday night, I baked a peach tea cake, out of the Rustic Fruit Desserts cookbook.



George keeps on trying to help me eat it. A note, he keeps jumping on the table and then quickly flopping over on his side to keep me from picking him up and putting him back down on the floor, where he belongs.
