Insomnomnom [bikes, work]
Jul. 21st, 2023 08:45 amIf only I could convince my brain that a good night's sleep would be a better way to tackle the daunting to-do list.
I am going to drive up to Vermont this evening, to do a 400k brevet on Frodo, because I'm still waiting to get Froinlavin's wheels back. It will be a slow ride, but also I know that no matter what happens, it will be useful training. It sounds like most of the route we'll take has been spared the worst of the recent flooding. I don't think I've ever ridden my bike in Vermont before, so it will also be a new state for me.
As usual there will probably be sporadic photo updates over on Flickr.
Crunch time things:
-Tenure packet materials
-Helping research students wrap up foraging experiments
-Getting ready to teach in the fall; our course on Experimental Design and Scientific Writing is the most complex. The course requires a lot of up-front prep work.
One thing at a time.
