The foliage around here right now is at its peak - brilliant reds, bright oranges, golden yellows.
I hadn't realized that some oak leaves will turn yellow before they turn brown and fall off. So that's fun. I'm also really amused by watching Virginia Creeper turn bright red on trunks, before the trees themselves change colors.
I'd love to learn the identity of some of the other trees that also tend to go bright red, aside from the classic maples.
But I don't really feel like making the time to try and photograph any of it. I keep considering it, and, nah. I'd rather just be out among it, enjoying the weather and the time while I can.
