This week tho [work]
Apr. 21st, 2022 11:05 amThis week feels like it is socking me in the jaw.
Nothing to do but try and hang on.
I am trying to order some big-ticket items for my course, but of course everything is delayed and out of stock. What will frustrate me the most is if I don't wind up being able to spend out my course budget before the end of the fiscal year (May 31), because then it looks like I don't need the full course budget, when the opposite is true and I can't spend it out sooner because I need to retain a reserve fund for last-minute emergency items for the course in the spring. Yargh.
I did get to start teaching my students about kidney function yesterday. When I first learned about kidney function, I mostly recall that nothing made any sense. So there's a part of me that's now determined to ensure that students don't just wind up feeling like kidneys work according to "magic."
We'll see.
