Thanksgiving tasks
Nov. 26th, 2019 01:05 pm1. Buy more crickets to replace the ones that died from the last shipment due to the cold snap (75% of shipment showed up stunned and died), so the reptiles and amphibians have food.
2. Submit reference letters: 7 submitted today; finish writing and submit the one more that will take more writing brainpower than I can muster right now.
3. Read and evaluate 20 Science Writing papers (if they take 1h each, that's only 20 hours, ha!).
4. Grade 20 Science Writing exams.
5. Grade General Biology homework assignments.
6. Prepare for the last full week of teaching (lectures, homework assignment).
7. One manuscript review.
8. Those three manuscripts-in-progress. Yeah, those ones.
9. Work on conference talk for early January conference.
10. Several other small grading tasks.
11. Draft my Second Year Review (department uses to judge my progress towards tenure).
So yeah. Mostly just death by a thousand grading-cuts.
