Boogers [teaching]

Just because it's simultaneously highly embarrassing and funny:

Extremely awkward first day teaching problem: boogers. Ack! What do you do if you're teaching but oh goodness, yeah. The bad kind: the ones that don't stay in place but are still stubborn.

I will never forget my handkerchief again. I probably should have just completely stepped out of the classroom.

Yes. Teaching is a glorious activity.

Re-teach

Also, it is SUCH A RELIEF to be re-teaching one of my two courses this semester. It would be complete hell if I'd had to prep two new courses back-to-back.

Instead, I get to just focus on tweaking my methods for General Biology 1. Scientific Writing is going to be a different sort of beast to wrangle. We'll get there. I'm going to have to crack the whip more in that class, I can already tell.
