Forgot to budget time to blog
Oct. 26th, 2015 01:44 pmI went on a 200k Dart on Saturday with the Nebraska gang. It was great to be outside, even if we had to tough it out into a headwind for the first half. This puts me just (ha!) a populaire and a 1000k away from earning a RUSA Cup, most noteworthy for being a fine-looking drinking vessel. Oh wait, except I have to complete a domestic 1200k. Hmm.
So then, Sunday: get up, make waffles on Grandpa's waffle maker (sadly, the Epoxy job was not fully successful), return rental car, get groceries, go to the lab and work ~3 hours, do laundry, cook food for the week and start bread dough, wash dishes, sleep.
When I reached the lab this morning I learned that our walk-in cooler room malfunctioned overnight due to some problem with the building-wide cooling system. Fortunately nothing in there got ruined, but it wasn't the stressor I needed while trying to gear up for a combination of glucose injections and palmitate injections. Glucose and palmitate don't go together as well as acetate and palmitate did because glucose goes too fast (1-hour incubations).
It's going to be another one of Those Weeks.
