So, 2015 has pretty much been a year of the bicycle. Which has been wonderful and rewarding!

But I have said for a long time that rowing is my one true love. When I go to California, my number one agenda item will be seeking out the right rowing program to get back on the water. Who knows, I might even find a program with a coach. I know I have at least one regatta on the calendar for spring, the Covered Bridge Regatta up in Oregon, and I have a feeling there will be more opportunities than that (e.g. Desert Sprints in Arizona).

I have other goals, too. I haven't been on the erg since the beginning of the new Concept2 season (beginning of May). But I have completed the Holiday Challenge for the last umpteenth years, so I don't want to skip out now. I am also finally starting to feel like a human being in want of human exercise - which means my body feels rested enough to want to MOVE again.

But I forget what it's like to get the motivation engines going after a hiatus. The work + brevet schedule have been such that I haven't had anything even remotely resembling a weekly routine for a long time, and have been too tired and overwhelmed to bother with much other than physical therapy exercises. So far this week I have had two mornings where I have set the alarm for early enough to get up and be productive, but both times the bed magnets have won. Now I remember - it's crucial to get up and go outside for a few minutes. THEN I will be sufficiently awake to exercise.

Now I need to print out a calendar and come up with a more structured plan.
