Free Agent

I turned in my ID card and one last library book towards the end of the day yesterday. I brought home three small shoeboxes full of ant samples to keep frozen, along with three large boxes full of cricket cages to take up to Nebraska. Also a box of books, a box of papers, another box of samples, and a box of the miscellaneous creature comforts that make work bearable (swiss disc from bluepapercup, water boiler, tea). And a tray of houseplants.

I was originally going to start driving right about now, but the midwest experienced a blizzard over the weekend, so I'm delaying my departure by a day.

As I deal with the moving stress, I'm trying hard to stay in touch with that part of myself that feels small in the vast world.
