Fungus among us
Apr. 3rd, 2013 01:29 pmA thunderstorm blew through last night, so this morning I went out to say good morning to the garden and see how the plants were doing. Also, to pick off all the snails I can find and throw them out into the street. Moving the garden to the front yard has helped with this tremendously, but the pesky things really like damp spaces like the undersides of plant pots. To my surprise, I found this:

Surprise! Mushroom visitors!
Do any of you know what kind of mushroom this is? They appeared quickly, and tend to disappear just as quickly. They've popped up in other spots around the garden, and in other plant pots.
Also notice, to the right, that the nano-rhubarb is now a micro-rhubarb, with FOUR LEAVES! And those are some of the Egyptian walking onions towards the bottom of the photo.
