Well, then
Mar. 17th, 2010 10:47 amI woke up early this morning and got my behind over to the gym. It was nice and quiet because most of the undergraduates are off at Rocky Point for spring break. I say "most" because all three undergraduates who are writing honors theses in our lab are around and working really hard. Kudos to them.
Anyway, when I arrived at the gym, they were playing reggae over the loudspeakers. Long-time readers and acquaintances will recognize the instant problem. Fortunately, they weren't playing any music in the weight room, which is where some of the ergs are located, until about halfway through my workout. Then there was a brief spate of reggae, followed by a whole bunch of Celtic music. That's an odd choice for gym music, I thought to myself. They even played a sea shanty I recognized. Pretty fun!
It wasn't until I got home and turned on the radio that I remembered that it's St. Patrick's Day.
In other news, I put some pumpkin seeds in some pots. I also baked a huge batch of shortbread, for various nefarious purposes, heh heh heh. Now I need to buckle down and get some work done. Off I go!
