Today, in Brief
Feb. 6th, 2010 10:54 pm6:30: got up, fed chickens, made breakfast, got dressed, packed things up
7:30: left home for the farmer's market
9:30: bought some vegetables, got coffee, drank coffee, then left the farmer's market
10:30: arrived at the Arizona Indoor Rowing Championships (paradoxically held outside)
10:45: Did some plotting and scheming with R about the weekend plans (see below)
11:30: Raced against myself and won, sort of (3 second slower than last year, drat! But the only person in my age category...)
12:00: Home for lunch
1:00: Off to ceramics
4:30: Ceramics for a while. Tried to throw some fake eggs to put in the chicken coop. The first one looked great, the rest look a little iffy, but they might work anyway.
5:00: Finished weeding the rest of the garden bed I've been prepping for growing corn. Strangely enough, the parameters of the garden bed almost exactly match the planting specifications (2 6-foot rows of corn). I ran out of daylight and time to plant, so that will happen tomorrow morning (unless it's raining buckets, which it might be). Finally.
6:15: Stopped weeding and started making stew
6:30: The Extreme Picnicking Society showed up for a Rainy Day Picnic. Original plan was to bike tour out to a local campground, but forecast thunderstorms made folks think otherwise about the plan. We hosted dinner instead.
11:00: Fin.
