One more round to go
Jul. 20th, 2009 04:50 pmThis portion of the experiment is one of those times when I end up doing a lot of the philosophizing required for a Doctorate of Philosophy. I mean, what am I really doing here, watching every move of 120 painted ants for over ten hours a day? What kind of purpose could this possibly have? Is it really worth it? Can any good actually come from it? Why don't I have a job that actually pays money and provides actual health care and the potential for retirement?
Yeah.
These colonies are large, which makes it more challenging than ever before to locate enough of the ants to be able to move on to the next round out of the ten rounds. So there are going to be a lot of ten-hour days this week. I was here until 11:30 last night, and returned at 7:40 this morning. I will get through it, even if I don't know what it all means or if it's all worth it.
Yeah.
