Reprieve, somewhat
May. 13th, 2009 04:19 pmWhen I reached lab this morning, I discovered that the smaller of the two colonies that I painted is not doing well at all. This was somewhat to be expected--it is, after all, the smallest out of all of the 14 colonies I plan to work with. But it also means that I cannot start behavioral observations today. I'm not interested in the behavior of stressed-out colonies. In turn, that means the timeline of this whole experiment is still up in the air. Just as I had begun to mentally prepare myself for the days and weeks ahead.
Of course, in the meantime that means I can get back to the half-dozen projects that I was planning on postponing. I've managed to make some headway on them today, but never enough.
