Two Thousand Miles
Apr. 28th, 2009 05:08 pmLast week, I reached the 2000-mile mark on the Jolly Roger for this year. That means I'm right on track for 6000 miles in 2009, assuming I maintain my weekly average of around 150 miles/week.
I administered my final exam today. I brought in coffee and some chocolate-oatmeal bars for my students, and they were appreciative, although they did not seem to fully appreciate the amount of thinking that the exam required of them. I keep saying, if it was natural and easy to do, everyone would have a degree. I had a good group of students this semester and will miss them. But I won't miss the grading, and hope I'll get to actually do some science in March. Assuming I find somewhere that's quiet enough so I can think clearly.
