A beautiful morning for a row

The next couple of days are looking hectic. I'm trying to wrap up an ant outreach project, I'm giving a presentation on Friday and am hosting a party (and am attending a couple of other important events), and have plans for a weekend biking expedition.

With all of that in the hopper, it was nice to have some semblance of normalcy this morning in getting up to go rowing. The weather cooperated, and we got in two laps of good rowing.

I just feel so much more civilized after a good row.

Becoming more articulate every day

Two phrases to eradicate from my vocabulary:

"That's an interesting question!"
"Okay, and the next thing we're going to do is..."

Backstory: I spent the afternoon editing a video that I'm helping to put together that will teach everyone how to build an ant farm out of a pair of CD cases. So I had to listen to myself a lot. I sound the best in fast-motion, chipmunk-style. Hopefully the video will get finished and put up on YouTube soon--I'll be sure to announce it when that happens.

I'm soooo glad I don't have any ambitions to become a TeeVee star.
