It's so nice to be home.
Jan. 8th, 2009 08:41 pmThe flight was as civilized as airline travel could be: on-time, and nobody sitting in the middle seat so I could stretch my legs out a little. I got most of one arm-warmer knitted, without developing any sort of motion sickness whatsoever. The light rail ride home was shiny, and not overly long (took about an hour, which is about what I'd budget for the bus). I need to contact Valley Metro, though, to ask if it's possible to get the stations to display how long until the next train arrives. That was a super-nice feature on the BART and other subway systems. Even if the estimates were approximate, it's still nice to have an idea if I'm going to be waiting 15 minutes or 2 minutes.
And now I'm home, and R and her brother cooked up a huge, delicious vegetable stew, and my cat's sitting on my lap. Although the temperature is probably close to the temperature in Seattle, the lack of humidity makes it feel ever so much warmer. Or maybe it's just the cat.
It's indisputable. I like this place.
