A good row

I've been a bit overwhelmed this week with proposal-writing, this time a grant proposal due today (Friday). Hopefully it's coherent, though I'm not super optimistic. But my chances of getting it are much greater if I apply than if I do not, right? And I've learned a lot in the application process.

But that's not what I wanted to write about. Instead, I wanted to mention that I enjoyed a fantastic row this morning, in a 4x with the Outlaws. It was fun to go fast and to mix things up a bit. And then we ate breakfast--a lot of it.

That's the sound of my grant proposal being submitted (I think, barring any other pesky detail I've forgotten). Hurrah! Now I can move on to other topics, like this huge stack of papers waiting to be graded that's sitting off to my right.
