Hello, Shakespeare, Goodbye, Shakespeare.

In eighth grade we had to memorize the dates of Shakespeare's birth and death. He was born on April 23, 1564 and died on April 23, 1616. Other things I remember about eighth grade English and Literature, off the top of my head, include having to memorize the letters of the Greek alphabet (alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta, etc etc.), learning how to do the Charleston, reciting the Gettysburg Address while wearing funny glasses with a big nose, eyebrows, and a mustache, and the fact that occasionally our teacher called me Rachel. We did read The Taming of the Shrew.

I'm not feeling excessively communicative these days. I think that probably has to do with having too many fingers in too many pies. Time to hunker down and actually do stuff.
