This morning I went with E to Sally's Fabrics, which was fantastic: it's an honest-to-goodness locally owned fabric store, with lots of fun prints to choose from. Considering how many other fabric stores seem to be going out of business around here, it was nice to find a place that's kind of nearby and still in business (and not JoAnn's Fabrics). I bought two different insect prints--I'll turn one into an apron, and the other into a carry bag for my laptop's cord. Oh, and also some ribbon for my cat. She has completely destroyed the red wool mouse that my mother gave her for Christmas, and keeps on crying for attention because she's bored. Hopefully she'll find the bright green ribbon distracting enough. I just need to keep reminding her that she's lucky she doesn't live in the pound.

It's nice to finally have some free time to potter around the house and tend to errands.
