Computer checkup

I checked in on the state of my computer today. It sounds like the new hard drive and cooling system will arrive tomorrow, so I'll know by Friday if any of my information is recoverable. I also told the computer dude what information is the highest priority if he can get any of it off of the machine. I'm slowly reaching a degree of acceptance about what will happen if I can't recover any information whatsoever. In all of this, I'm quite glad that things like this here blog are internet-based.
