Yeah. This was one of those days. I'm tired from biking yesterday and from staying out past my bedtime. Silly Rebecca. But in any case, with everything I got done last week, I've managed to basically increase the length of my work-to-do list. So when I got to school this morning, I was a wee bit overwhelmed. However, my advisor and I were able to sit down for a few minutes and actually get some stuff done, and that felt like an accomplishment. We also talked a bit about the Manuscript of Doom II: The Sequel, and although I didn't get a whole lot done on it, I feel like I accomplished at least a little bit by talking about it with her. It was also kind of nice to hear about her overwhelming to-do list and know I wasn't the only one whose plate overfloweth (to use her expression). This is really one of the tricks of grad school, learning how to manage a huge list of things without a whole lot of structure to help with the management process.
Tonight I made pasta with beet greens, per
annikusrex 's recommendation. It was delicious. Oh, and I made some shortbread as well.
And with that, it's time to get back to work.
