you have been POETRIED!

Yesterday evening in the middle of our Scrabble game, a poetry reading started up. We weren't exactly prepared for it. Some of the poetry was pretty damn nice. Some of it was pretty damn irritating. That's the risk, I suppose. I mean, part of me is just plain happy to see ANY sort of artistic expression happen in this town. But I don't necessarily want to praise people for producing crap that consists of one cliche followed by another.

Oh well. I should at least be grateful that when I don't seek out poetry it still manages to find me.
