...Well, I'm grading lab reports these days. It's an overly painful exercise. I've come to the conclusion that I did not adequately prepare my students to write lab reports, so I think I'm going to return them and make them an offer they can't resist: a chance for a regrade. That means I can be incredibly critical when I grade, because I REALLY don't want to let them off the hook on this assignment.

Well, then.

I have graded 6 lab reports out of 45. Tomorrow's going to be a busy day I can tell. I think I have developed a reasonable course of action. I'm quite glad that I have decided to give students the option of a re-grade. I'm being pretty ruthless. But I REFUSE to pass the buck. That happens too frequently here.
