I picked up the newest addition to our household this morning, Emma the kitten. She was cute when I last saw her, back in the days before Costa Rica happened, and she's still super-cute. I'll take some pictures soon, I'm sure, and will then pass them along (I know, I know, you're still waiting for photos from Costa Rica. I'm still working on them when I'm not playing with Emma...).
Anyhoo, school starts next week, so any and all work that I was getting done will soon degenerate into nothingness. But oh well. The first week of the lab that I'm teaching is quite strange--we're doing a simplified version of a lab I did way back in high school, using dialysis tubing and sugar solutions to make Snosages (as Ms. DuPen used to call them). That will certainly soften students up for what's to come.
Well, it's time to stop hanging out in the lab and time to start hanging out with Emma.
Until next time...
