Bulk shampoo

A dilemma. The grocery co-ops in Seattle appear to have stopped selling bulk shampoo and conditioner. I checked the Central Co-op as well as the Fremont PCC. I am left wondering whether I should just order another pair of 1-gallon jugs, as I did about 4 or 5 years ago in Texas, or wait to place the order until after moving up to New York, and just limp by on overpriced plastic waste until then.

The feelings of transience sure get overwhelming and exhausting at times. And that's with a place to live, some income, and greater stability to look forward to in the future.

I missed the part about you moving to New York. When are you going?

I'll be moving near/to Albany at the end of July, to start a tenure-track job in Comparative Physiology at Siena College. It's going to be a long haul across the country!

My gentle advice is to not acquire one more large thing to move, and just use the smaller bottles until you go. I know it's counter to your consumer values, but self-preservation of your mental resources come moving time is a higher good.

Is there a buy nothing group on FB where people get rid of stuff because they’re moving,
