Diagnosis

Well, it looks like my one-sided sore throat is not strep. But it could be mono. Hold my calls, I'll be in bed for a month. I feel like poo that has been stepped in.

Poor you! Get lots of rest - I'll be there to take care of you soon!

I certainly hope you feel better, young lady.
Speedy recovery, please.
And that is what you get for kissing all the boys.
LET THIS BE A LESSON.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT. No more boy-kissing. GIRLS-ONLY.

I'm working on the speedy recovery--I hope the doc was fibbing when she said mono, and I'm working to PROVE HER WRONG by getting better soon.

Aw, poor girl! I've never had it, but I've heard it's awful. I really hope it's something less obnoxious. It seems a lot of people are sick lately :(

I am keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get sick. But if I decide I want to, I am so visiting for kissing. I should at least enjoy getting sick.

Yeah, this is the first time I've ever had it, and I'd be quite happy to give it back, thankyouverymuch. Take yer vimatims, missy, and get lots of sleep! And whatever you do, don't kiss any sick boys!

Let me point out that mono is only something you have once, so once it's over with, you're free to not worry about catching it anymore. So essentially the sooner you get it the better.

It's not mono until you've had a mono test come back positive!

Also, if it is mono, you need to go back to the doctor and have her check your spleen. When I had mono my spleen swelled up and I had to be out of all sports (contact and otherwise) for a month. Also, I got hives.

Luckily, very few people get mono that badly.

If it's NOT mono, just take it easy and step up the vitamins.

Either way, poor thing. :( I wish I could come and take care of you for a bit.
