Like hot garbage, or cold garbage? [work, bicyling]
We're experiencing a cold snap, right now through Sunday, where the current temperature this morning is 8 degrees F and the overnight low tonight is forecast to be -10 degrees F. I think that's a new record low temp for me to personally experience.
Regardless, this morning I am grateful for my: ski goggles, ski mittens, ski pants, and of course the Space Booties! I wore fuzzy tights under the ski pants, and packed along an extra sweater for the ride home. My core and hands were warm and I was sweating lightly by the time I reached campus.
The gusting winds accompanying the cold temperatures are unpleasant.
My sinuses started hurting last night, most likely because of how dry the air is. The collective effect of a long week and sinus pain is that I feel very much like hot garbage today, although it's probably more realistic to say I actually feel more like cold garbage.
I gave my sinuses a saline swilling, and took ibuprofen. Here's hoping they settle down soon, ugh.
Meanwhile, a ton of students are calling in sick with gastroenteritis. Yikes.
