Smugness

I have to admit, it's fun to teach someone to row, particularly when they're a touch on the arrogant side, because it's nice to take them down a notch or two and see them gain new respect for the art of rowing. This tends to apply more to boys than girls, who approach new things with the, "I already know how to do this" sort of attitude.
