Pair-shaped [rowing]

This October I will be rowing in the Head of the Charles with a German crew again, so I asked our coach if it would be possible to do some training in a pair, to help practice sweep rowing. I confess I wasn't expecting him to respond so quickly, but when I showed up this morning he had converted one of the doubles to a pair and had me row in it with one of our junior rowers. The junior rower seemed slightly hesitant, so I jumped in to declare that I would sit in bow seat.

Long story short, it was fun, especially when we powered up for some 10's and 20's. Remembering how to sweep row is like remembering how to ride a bike.
