I do indeed have a backup for commuting - there's a bus line that runs past our campus. I prefer not to take the bus if I can help it, because it takes about twice as long as biking and I don't get any fresh air, but when the roads are that bad, I'd far prefer being on the bus over attempting to drive myself or attempting to ride a bike!

And usually at that point there are school delays or closures anyway, because the powers that be agree that it's not safe for anyone to be out.

We thought George (gray) and Martha (tortie) were being super adorable, too! Martha is pretty attentive to the sounds and motions of the camera, so it's hard to catch her actually relaxing.
